My favorites: Two of my favorite female pilots are not mentioned above. They are Raymonde De Laroche (photo below belongs to Wikipedia) and Jennifer Murry. They are both my role model.
Jennifer was a helicopter pilot who had injuries from previous helicopter crash, and yet she would dare to fly a helicopter again in freezing weather for a charity. She enjoys challenge. She's very admirable because she flew in dangerous situations to help the orphans have a better living atmosphere. Her goal was to fly across the world, passing Antarctica and South poles, very dangerous places. She failed the first time and crashed, but tried again. I love her quote the most: "You haven't failed until you stop trying"
As for Baroness De Laroche. She was the first women to earn a pilot license. She faced many obstacles in her life. She got seriously injured a few times, then her teacher- also her boyfriend- died from plane crash, followed by interruption of world war one. She still managed to continue flying after all that had happened. She has the spirit of never giving up. Her life also ended with flying, when she died in a plane crash.
