All the pictures above are cropped out by me, but the original images belong to different sites for each picture and they own the pictures, I have no intend to steal any photo.
These special liveries all have some kind of fun story that I would like to share:
Planes from Top to bottom, left to right:
1. JetBlue 10th anniversary plane
2. Singapore Airline's "Tropical livery" which was painted onto 2 aircrafts. It did exist until one of the planes with this livery crashed. The other one was immediately painted back to the normal livery after the accident. The purpose was to promote the new first and business class in the airline.
3. Dragon-air's 25th anniversary aircraft, painted in Chinese style. It symbolized a bright future and incorporates the Eastern culture.
4. American airlines pink ribbon. It's pretty self-explanatory. It promotes breast cancer awareness. It's aim is to carry this message globally.
5. Fedex Panda Express, explained earlier on in my collection: Fedex Panda express can be found in reality. It is used to transport pandas from China to other countries. For the painting process, take a look at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xlxK1cci4w#t=61
6. Southwest sea world penguin one.
7. China airlines Jimmy aircraft. Jimmy is a famous writer in Taiwan.
8. Southwest Illinois one.
9. Air France 80th anniversary aircraft
10. Cathay Pacific, already mentioned before: Cathay Pacific "Spirit of Hong Kong" plane in is real and is covered with 100 Hong Kong peoples' silhouettes. People entered in the campaign, supported by HK government by writing about what they think makes Hong Kong so special. The winners were selected and their silhouettes got painted!
